SPACE is a Wood Sculpture Art.
The soft curves create a warm, enveloping shape. The small piece, which allows us to enjoy the large space inside, was inspired by tree caves.
やわらかな曲線で、あたたかく包み込むようなかたち。内部にある大きな空間を楽しむことができるその小さな作品は、樹木の洞から刺激を受けて作られました。

Hinoki wood has a gentle color. There are some areas where the color intensity varies depending on the grain, and this piece allows you to enjoy two colors despite its small size.
ひのきはやさしい色を持っています。その中でも木目の場所によって色の濃さが異なる箇所があり、この作品では小さな大きさながらも2色の色を楽しむことができます。
Looking in the inner space. The clear grain of the cypress wood varies in thickness, darkness and color. When I carve it, each line creates an interesting shape.
内部の空間を覗く。ひのきのはっきりとあらわれる木目は、それぞれの太さや濃さや色合いが異なります。彫刻を施すことによってそれぞれが興味深い線を描く。
The carving of some undulations that I intended to carve after deciding on the design and others that were inspired by curves that appeared unintentionally during the carving process played together to form an interesting shape.
デザインを決めてから意図して彫ったいくつかのうねりと、彫り進める中で意図せずにあらわれた曲線から発想を得て彫ったうねりが共演し、ひとつの興味深いかたちが形成されました。
Each one has a different expression depending on the background.
異なる背景によってそれぞれが異なる表情を持っています。
You may see a smiling expression due to the shape of the hole in the inner space.
内部空間に開けた穴のかたちによって、微笑んでいる表情に見えるかもしれません。
[ Note ]
The sculpture is made from a single piece of wood, and it is the only one of its kind in the world. The wood grown for sustainable forestry is used. The 'KIDEKIWHORU' logo is engraved on it. The paint is safe because it is made from natural materials and it doesn't almost smell. Depending on each monitor, the colors may differ slightly from the actual work.
