I carved about halfway through the large undulation that surrounds the central space. The more I carve, the more the undulating grain of the wood dances with the undulating shapes I carved. The deep crack that runs from the top to the bottom doesn't seem to be a problem for now.

中心部の空間を取り囲む大きなうねりを半分ほど彫り進めました。彫れば彫るほど、自分が彫ったうねりのかたちとともに木目のうねりが踊る。上部から底にかけて存在する深い割れは今のところ問題なさそうです。
