As I carefully carve, the grain of the wood becomes darker and clearer. It is very pleasant to finish the large carved area. I have recently been trying with other wood species besides hinoki and have realized that each tree species has a suitable design.

丁寧に削っていくと、木目がより濃く鮮明にあらわれてきます。広く彫った箇所で仕上作業をすることはとても心地良いです。最近、ひのき以外の他の樹種を試す中で、それぞれの樹種に適したデザインがあることに気付きました。
