There is only a limited space inside this small piece of wood. What and how can I represent within this limited space? With that in mind, I was completely absorbed in it, and carved it nearly halfway through. The light and shadows created started to get interesting.

このような小さな木片の中には限られた空間しかありません。この限られた空間内で、何を、どのようなものを表現することができる？そのように考えながら、半分近くまで無我夢中で彫り進めました。つくり出される光と影が興味深くなり始めました。
