After carving for an hour, the muscles in my upper body, especially the muscles in my right arm holding the hammer, scream. There are designs that are only possible because of the hardness. I want to pursue designs that cannot be carved without the hardness of zelkova.

1時間彫り続けると、わたしの上半身の筋肉、特にハンマーを持つ右腕の筋肉が悲鳴を上げる。その硬さがあるからこそ、可能となるデザインが存在する。硬くなければ彫れないデザインを欅で追求していきたい。
