MIND
MIND is a Wood Sculpture Art.
I want to make use of the part that was in contact with the bark, I want to be aware of the hollow of a giant tree while making use of space, and I want to represent bold movements. This work is a design that I arrived at in search of a form that satisfies all of them. Because of its enveloping shape, I decided the title is 'MIND', which is associated with feeling, thoughts, and the brain.

樹皮に接していた部分を生かしたいこと、空間を生かしながら巨樹の洞を意識したいこと、大胆な動きを表現したいこと。この作品は、それらのすべてを満たすかたちを求めてたどりついたデザインです。その包み込む形状から、感情や考えや脳を連想させるMINDという言葉を作品名としました。

Curves that can be felt from the whole work, curves in details due to carving, and curves due to the expression of wood grain. The combinations of them are endless, and the angle and light from which you look at them will make you feel even more interesting.
作品全体から感じられる曲線、彫りによる細部の曲線、木目の表現による曲線。その組み合わせは無限大で、見る角度や光の加減でより一層の面白さを感じさせてくれます。

The sculpture is made from a single piece of wood, and it is the only one of its kind in the world. The wood grown for sustainable forestry is used. The 'KIDEKIWHORU' logo is engraved on it. The paint is safe because it is made from natural materials and it doesn't almost smell. Depending on each monitor, the colors may differ slightly from the actual work.
