DIGNITY is a Wood Sculpture Art.
The shape of the branches holding a large inner space. I represented the appearance of a tree that lives strong and dignified in nature. Not only did I devise a way to carve the undulations of each branch to give it individuality, but by having the center of gravity at the lower right side, I made it a shape that allows you to feel a impressive movement from the whole work. You can enjoy interesting striped patterns in dark and light colors with painting a color on the attractive wood grain that is a proof that this tree has lived for many years.

枝々が大きな内部空間を抱え込むようなかたち。自然の中で強くたくましく生きる樹木の姿を表現しました。それぞれの枝の起伏の入れ方を工夫して個性を持たせただけでなく、重心を右側下部に持たせることで、作品全体から印象的な動きを感じていただけるような形状にしました。この樹木が長い年月を生きてきた証である魅力的な木目たちに入れた塗料によって、濃い色と薄い色の興味深い縞模様を楽しむことができます。

Why are there dark and light stripes on the wood grain? It may be due to the environment. Just as no tree is the same, the same wood and the same wood grain never exist. Every time I create a work, I am always looking forward to seeing what kind of wood grain I can come across next.

なぜその木目には濃い色と薄い色の縞模様があるの？もしかしたら環境が原因かもしれません。ひとつとして同じ樹木はないことと同様に、同じ木材、同じ木目は決して存在しません。作品を作るごとに、次はどのような木目と出会えるのかをいつも楽しみにしています。

The sculpture is made from a single piece of wood, and it is the only one of its kind in the world. The wood grown for sustainable forestry is used. The 'KIDEKIWHORU' logo is engraved on it. The paint is safe because it is made from natural materials and it doesn't almost smell. Depending on each monitor, the colors may differ slightly from the actual work.
