For each piece of photographing, I always use a black background to explore with interesting effects of light and shadow.

それぞれの作品撮影時には必ず、黒色の背景用いて光と影であらわされる興味深い効果を試しています。

I wondered whether I would be able to carve it in the same way as usual, given the moisture content of this wild cherry wood. I am now relieved to see that I was able to carve it in the same way as my previous wild cherry wood pieces.

この山桜材の水分の含み具合から、果たしていつもの感覚で彫ることができるだろうかと手探りの状態で彫り進めました。それまでに作った山桜材での作品と同じように彫ることができて今は安心しています。

I always learn something new before I finish a piece, and this piece made me realise that there are new movement possibilities depending on the direction and orientation I move each undulation. This will be used in my future works.

ひとつの作品を彫り終えるまでに必ず何か新しいことを学びますが、この作品では、それぞれのうねりをどのような向きと方向に動かすかによって新たな動きの可能性があることに気付かせてくれました。それは今後の作品に活かされるでしょう。

The sculpture is made from a single piece of wood, and it is the only one of its kind in the world. The wood grown for sustainable forestry is used. The 'KIDEKIWHORU' logo is engraved on it. The paint is safe because it is made from natural materials and it doesn't almost smell. Depending on each monitor, the colors may differ slightly from the actual work.

この彫刻はひとつの木材から作られており、世界にひとつだけのものです。持続可能な森林づくりを目指して栽培された木材が使用されております。KIDEKIWHORUのロゴマークが彫られています。塗料は天然素材なのでにおいもほとんどなく安全です。各モニターにより実際の作品と多少色が異なる場合がございます。
