This wild cherry wood not only boasts a rich, deep, and beautiful color, but its grain also exhibits a unique and distinctive character. I took the photograph to allow you to observe its color, grain, and the marks left by carving against the grain.
この山桜材はこの濃厚な深みのある美しい色だけではなく、木目に独特の味わいを見せてくれます。その色や木目と、木目に逆らうようにして彫られた跡を観察できるように写真に撮りました。
Three rings undulate and overlap, encircling the internal space, creating a shape that appears quiet and calm overall, yet conveys a sense of strength and vitality.
内部空間を取り囲むようにしながら、３つの輪がうねりながら重なり合いながら、全体的に静かで落ち着いているようで、しかし強さや逞しさを感じさせる形状です。
While photographing, I reflected on the time I had invested in this work. In a world where efficiency is demanded in many areas - myself included - but I've come to realize once again there're things can only be seen and realized by taking a long time to do something.
撮影しながら、これまでこの作品にかけた時間を振り返りました。自分自身を含め、多くのことに効率さを求められる世の中ですが、長い時間をかけるからこそ見えてくるものや気付かされることがあることにあらためて気づかされました。

The sculpture is made from a single piece of wood, and it is the only one of its kind in the world. The wood grown for sustainable forestry is used. The 'KIDEKIWHORU' logo is engraved on it. The paint is safe because it is made from natural materials and it doesn't almost smell. Depending on each monitor, the colors may differ slightly from the actual work.
