DEPTH is a Wood Sculpture Art.
Many folds that I was inspired by seeing the bark of coniferous trees. I represented how they overlap from the outside to the depth of the inner space. In the hollow of the trunk of giant trees, there is another world that extends deep inside.
針葉樹の樹皮から発想を得た多くの襞たち。それらが外側から内部空間の奥深くへと重なり合う様子を表現しました。巨木の幹の洞には、奥深くに広がるもうひとつの世界が存在します。

I tried to photograph with a light that emphasizes the contours of both sides and the front that connects them. By merging the darkness of the inner space with the black background, the viewers of this photo may enjoy imagining what kind of space it is.
両側とそれをつなぐ正面との輪郭を際立たせるような光を当てて撮影してみました。内部空間の暗闇は背景の黒と一体化することで、この写真を見てくださる方々がそれはどのような空間なのかを想像しながら楽しんでくださるかもしれません。
I have been trying to think of a name for this work for some time, and I have named it 'DEPTH'. The word has not only mean depth in terms of the size of the sculpture, but also the depth of the inner space of the work, the depth of the design of the work, and the depth of love.
この作品の名前をどのようなものにしようかしばらく考えた結果、'DEPTH'と名付けました。この言葉には彫刻の深さという意味だけではなく、作品の内部空間の深さ、作品のデザインの深さ、そして愛情の奥深さなどの意味も持っています。

The sculpture is made from a single piece of wood, and it is the only one of its kind in the world. The wood grown for sustainable forestry is used. The 'KIDEKIWHORU' logo is engraved on it. The paint is safe because it is made from natural materials and it doesn't almost smell. Depending on each monitor, the colors may differ slightly from the actual work.
