TWINE
TWINE is a Wood Sculpture Art.
I represented that the branches of other trees twined on the trunk of a tree with a large hollow. It was very difficult to create a large inner space in its tree trunk. However, after completion, it became possible to enjoy the bold undulations and wood grain of the branches and trunk because of that large inner space. You can feel it more clearly when looking from diagonally above.
大きな空間のある洞を持つ樹木の幹に、他の樹木の枝々が絡みながら空へ向かって伸びていく姿を表現しました。その樹木の幹に大きな内部空間を作ることはとても難しいことでした。しかし完成後は、大きな空間があるからこそ枝々や幹の大胆なうねりや木目を楽しむことができるようになりました。それは斜め上の方向から覗き込んだ時に、より明確に感じていただけます。
